Institutional Control Program
The Institutional Control Program includes non-engineering actions to manage the groundwater within the CBP, including environmental covenants executed in compliance with the Alabama Uniform Environmental Covenant Act, that restricts access to and use of groundwater within the CBP without approval of ALDOT.
ADEM has established a Registry of Environmental Covenants to list all executed environmental covenants recorded in the county land records. A copy can be obtained by interested parties by contacting the ADEM Land Division at 334-271-7730 or via e-mail to landmail@adem.alabama.gov
